Christmas Card from Altenew class

I am taking a new class at Altenew, online of course. This is a card I made. I created the background with the Buffalo Plaid Builder on 110 pound Neenah Cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar and worn lipstick. The worn lipstick is going horizontal and spun sugar, vertical. I love this stencil and use it often. I especially like the patterns created with different colors where the lines overlap.
I created an overlay from some new iridescent vellum paper that I just got from Lawn Fawn. It is still transparent but less so than regular vellum as it has a shimmer that isn't captured in my photo. Onto this overlay, I stamped Altenew's Merry Christmas with super fine black embossing powder.
I made the snowflake from a die set from Altenew. There are 5 dies that can be layered. I have only layered 4 here, in mirrored silver, black (used in 2 layers) and a glittery silver paper. None of this glittery beauty is captured in my photo!
I don't know how I feel about this card right now. I like it, but maybe I will try some other colors for the background.

  1. I love your card!! The buffalo plaid is so popular and I love that you selected 'pink'. Very stunning. Thanks for sharing your project. I can't wait to see what else you create.
