Easy Ink Blending: Faux Watercoloring |
I selected Altenew Rennie Roses stamp. I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder and arranged the heat embossed images in several steps until I filled as much space as I liked. I used Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock on the smoother side.
I used a small ink dauber to blend Altenew inks in Rouge, Forest Glades and Warm Sunshine.
I sprayed the card stock with water and used a large paint brush to paint the same Altenew inks I had used with the daubers.
I repeated the painting but this time with a round number 4 paint brush using distress ink in Twisted Citron and Distress Oxide inks in Abandoned Coral and Fossilized Amber.
I used the Altenew Rouge Ink mixed with water to create a splash accent.
When dry, mounted the watercolor paper onto Neenah 110 pound base. I used the Misti with a ruler to align the sentiment I stamped from the Altenew stamp set Frosted Garden. I followed this with 3 sequins from a bottle of sequins called Cupcake from Doodlebug Design adhered with Ranger Multi Medium Matte glue.
such a beautiful card! I love how the colors sort of blend with each other. This card makes me very happy!
